also, high fructose corn syrup is the breakfast of champions. just kidding, fructose as a substrate for glycolysis bypasses regulation by phosphofructokinase as it is converted to either fructose-1-phosphate, dihydroxyacetone, or glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (depending on where it is and what enzymes are available!).
